Further education in England: transforming lives

This research by Professor Vicky Duckworth and Dr Rob Smith aims to understand and provide evidence of how the further education (FE) sector is vital in transforming lives and communities in 21st century Britain.
The summative report argues that colleges are well positioned to provide a range of opportunities for adults returning to learning, but that more resource is needed to provide the wraparound support required to address learners' complex needs.
