Donate to the fighting fund

Please support your colleagues.

UCU uses its fighting fund to support members involved in disputes, including the provision of strike pay where appropriate.

UCU congress has recognised the current economic situation means it likely there will be a number of disputes to save jobs and services and protect conditions. It therefore recommended that members who could afford to do so should make an annual donation to the fighting fund to support others.

Need to claim? Please go to our legal services site if you need to make a claim from the fighting fund.

Congress suggested that an appropriate donation would be £25, depending upon members' circumstances, but any donation to support colleagues in struggle is greatly appreciated and will be used directly to help members on strike.

* Recently introduced regulations require banks to undertake a verification process when paying a new or irregularly used payee. The requirements and mode of verification differ from bank to bank and we are aware that some banks currently are unable to verify the UCU account. It should be safe to proceed with payment if the entered account details are as listed.
** A fee is incurred when paying by PayPal so direct bank transfer or cheque is preferred to ensure the fighting fund receives all of your donation.
