In today's email: Update your membership records This is a timely reminder, at the start of the new academic year to check and update your UCU membership record. Reasons to check your membership 2 It is each member's responsibility to ensure that subscriptions are paid at the correct rate. UCU subscriptions are based on earnings, rather than hours worked, so it is vital to ensure you are paying subscriptions at the correct rate, as failure to do so may disqualify you from receiving legal advice and other benefits. If your earnings have increased as you progress, you may need to increase your subscriptions to take this into account. Likewise, if you have changed roles or reduced your hours, you may be overpaying on your subscriptions, and UCU will not issue a refund for members who have failed to inform the union of their changed income, except in exceptional circumstances. Don't let subscription issues cause delays in accessing advice and assistance. How to check your membership You can now access your membership details on line via MyUCU our member services site, so it couldn't be easier to check and update your information at a time that it is convenient for YOU! Ar enillion, yn hytrach na'r oriau a gaiff eu gweithio mae tanysgrifiadau UCU yn seiliedig. Felly mae'n hanfodol eich bod yn talu tanysgrifiadau ar y gyfradd gywir; gallai methu â gwneud hynny eich anghymwyso rhag cael cyngor cyfreithiol a buddiannau eraill. Os bydd eich enillion yn cynyddu wrth i chi ddatblygu, mae'n bosibl y bydd angen i chi gynyddu eich tanysgrifiadau i adlewyrchu hyn. Yn yr un modd, os byddwch wedi newid rôl neu gwtogi eich oriau, gallech fod yn talu gormod am eich tanysgrifiadau, ac ni fydd UCU yn rhoi ad-daliad i aelodau sydd wedi methu â rhoi gwybod i'r undeb am y newid i'w hincwm, ac eithrio mewn amgylchiadau eithriadol. Peidiwch â gadael i broblemau tanysgrifiadau achosi oedi wrth gael cyngor a chymorth.
