1. CPD Webinar -- Decarbonise and decolonise UCU Cymru would like to invite you to take part in a Decarbonise and decolonise webinar for UCU members in Wales on Tuesday 5 October at 2pm. Decarbonise and decolonise is the third in a series of our webinars on the climate crisis, and how we can play our part in resisting it. Building on existing CPD workshops 'Introduction to climate education' and 'Embedding climate education in the curriculum', SOS-UK have developed for UCU a ' Decarbonise and decolonise' workshop to introduce members to the interconnectivity of these two agendas and identify opportunities to take action. To take part in this webinar you do not need to have completed the previous sessions. This workshop will give an overview of climate justice, and how this links to the concepts of decolonising and decarbonising as the structural and systemic roots of the human-induced climate crisis. We will explore examples of climate injustice, and how this often intersects with issues like race, gender, class and indigeneity. We will also look at examples of when sustainability actions and initiatives have not taken an intersectional approach, with discussions on how we can avoid this in education to create sustainability activities that recognise and work to challenge the harmful legacies of colonialism and imperialism. Gweminar DPP -- Datgarboneiddio a dad-drefedigaethu Hoffai Undeb Prifysgolion a Cholegau Cymru (UCU) eich gwahodd i gymryd rhan mewn gweminar Datgarboneiddio a dad-drefedigaethu ar gyfer aelodau UCU yng Nghymru ddydd Iau 5 Hydref am 2pm. Datgarboneiddio a dad-drefedigaethu yw'r drydedd sesiwn yn ein cyfres o weminarau ar yr argyfwng hinsawdd a sut y gallwn chwarae ein rhan yn yr ymdrech i'w wrthsefyll. Gan adeiladu ar weithdai DPP blaenorol 'Cyflwyniad i addysg hinsawdd' ac 'Ymgorffori addysg hinsawdd yn y cwricwlwm', mae SOS-UK wedi datblygu'r gweithdy 'Datgarboneiddio a dad-drefedigaethu' ar gyfer UCU er mwyn cyflwyno rhyng-gysylltedd y ddwy agenda i'r aelodau a thynnu sylw at gyfleoedd i weithredu. Nid oes angen i chi fod wedi cwblhau'r sesiynau blaenorol er mwyn cymryd rhan yn y weminar hon. Bydd y gweithdy hwn yn rhoi trosolwg o gyfiawnder hinsawdd, a sut mae hyn yn cysylltu â chysyniadau dad-drefedigaethu a datgarboneiddio fel gwreiddiau strwythurol a systemig yr argyfwng hinsawdd a achosir gan bobl. Byddwn yn archwilio enghreifftiau o gyfiawnder hinsawdd, a sut mae hyn yn croestorri'n aml â materion megis hil, rhywedd, dosbarth a chynhenidrwydd. Byddwn hefyd yn edrych ar enghreifftiau lle nad yw camau gweithredu a mentrau wedi dilyn dull croestoriadol, gyda thrafodaethau am ffyrdd y gallwn osgoi hyn ym myd addysg er mwyn creu gweithgareddau cynaliadwyedd sy'n adnabod gwaddol niweidiol trefedigaethedd ac imperialaeth ac yn gweithio i'w herio. Wrth i ni ddechrau blwyddyn academaidd newydd, cofiwch y gall Cymorth Addysg eich helpu. Weithiau gall gwaith (neu fywyd yn gyffredinol) fod yn anodd, ac mae'r rheini sy'n gweithio ym myd addysg yn teimlo'r straen. Os byddwch chi'n teimlo eich bod wedi'ch gorlethu, dan straen, yn orbryderus, yn isel, neu os bydd gennych broblemau personol neu ariannol, mae'n bosib y gall Cymorth Addysg eich helpu. Gall Cymorth Addysg gynnig help a chymorth cyfrinachol yn rhad ac am ddim, waeth beth fo'r broblem, mewn nifer o ffyrdd, gan gynnwys:
Mae'r llinell gymorth yn rhad ac am ddim ac ar gael i bob darlithydd ac aelod o staff ym maes addysg bellach neu addysg uwch yng Nghymru, bob awr o'r dydd a phob diwrnod o'r flwyddyn.
