#LoveOurColleges on Wednesday 17 October 2018

Earlier this week it was reported to UCU that the principal of New City College (who also chairs the AoC employment committee) will close the college on Wednesday the 17th October to allow staff to march and lobby Parliament for more funding.

Please approach your principal and call on them to support the FE march, rally and lobby - up to and including the closure of your college to enable staff and students to attend. 

Further details are as below, please liaise within your region to coordinate coach and/or train travel. Speakers to be announced soon!

  • 12.15pm: Meet up at Waterloo Place, London SW1Y 4

  • 12.45pm: March sets off

  • 1.30pm sharp: Rally speakers - Parliament Square, followed by the lobby. 

The lobby of Parliament is the central part of the #LoveOurColleges campaign, calling for better funding and fair pay for FE colleges.
