Switch to Direct Debit

Collecting subscription payments by deduction from salary (also known as check off) is very costly for UCU to administer and many institutions charge a percentage of member's subscriptions for administering this service.

Direct Debit (.jpg) That is why we're asking members still paying via payroll to take the very straightforward step of changing your payment method to Direct Debit (DD).

There are two ways to switch to Direct Debit:

  1. log in to My UCU here: go to the 'Payment' page and select 'Transfer to Direct Debit'.
  2. alternatively use our direct debit form located here: you can either return a scanned copy by email to membership@ucu.org.uk or post the form to UCU Membership, Freepost RSBT-SCKZ-BLCZ, UCU, Carlow Street, London NW1 7LH

Whichever method you use, please ensure that you immediately notify your payroll department that you wish to cease deduction from your salary. Please quote both your membership and payroll numbers in all correspondence.
