Refunds policy

Information on claiming back overpayments on your subscription.

We write to all members paying by direct debit or cheque each year, outlining the subscriptions due for the coming session, and members can make changes to their subscription details at any time using our online service My UCU.  UCU's subscription structure is banded by earnings rather than by hours worked, and the subscription bands ecompass a range of incomes. It is each member's responsibility to ensure that subscriptions are being paid at the correct rate for earnings.

Refunds:
UCU will not issue a refund for members who have failed to inform the union of their changed position, except in exceptional circumstances.

If UCU considers your circumstances to be exceptional, we will only refund up to a maximum of 1 year.

If you feel you are eligible for a refund please complete and return the attached Refund Request Form.  Your application will be assessed and you will be notified of the result of your claim as quickly as possible.
