UCU Rising - the next steps

Yesterday we made history. The biggest ballot result we have ever delivered. This is down to you. I also want to thank you for responding in huge numbers to our members survey on the next steps (results here).

A branch delegate meeting (BDM) takes place on Monday 31 October, and our Higher Education Committee meets on Thursday 3 November to determine if and when we call strike action. As part of the overall process, I wanted to set out some views on how I believe we should proceed in the dispute. You can read them here. 

This is simply a discussion document. I'm sending it to all members to build on the new levels of transparency and democracy we have delivered as part of the #ucuRISING campaign. I hope you take the chance to read it and engage via your branch in our democratic processes.
