The Final Countdown

With our friends at the CWU going on two further days of strike action at Royal Mail we are asking everyone to get their ballots sent in by the end of the week at the latest. We have also brought forward the deadline for ordering a replacement ballot to this Wednesday at 23:59.
 
Even if you have voted there is still so much that you can do. Remember, this is an aggregated ballot so every vote counts. It doesn't matter if your branch believes that they are at 50, 60, or even 70% turnout - there are still thousands of votes to be won across the UK and we need you to help the union get them posted. 

National Get The Vote Out Day - Wednesday 12 October

We are holding events in workplaces across the country on Wednesday for National Get The Vote Out Day. If you cannot find the plans for your university branch on our website then get in touch with your local reps now to find out how you can get involved with the single biggest day of workplace organising in UCU's history.

I will be joining as many of you as I can on Wednesday to find out what you are doing in your branch to get the vote out.

UCU Live: The Final Countdown - Wednesday 12 October at 19:30

As part of National Get The Vote Out Day I will be hosting a UCU Live event at 19:30 on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter as we showcase all of the hard work that is being done across the UK to ensure that we get the biggest YES vote in the history of higher education. 

We are almost there. But we can't afford to slow down now. Let's make this the biggest week of the entire campaign and leave no votes behind.
