Deals reached across four colleges

29 October 2021

Of the colleges involved in the recent FE strikes across the UK, four have now reached local deals to end their disputes.

Members at City of Bristol College, Croydon College, New College Swindon and Weymouth College all backed acceptance of the local offers which came after they had voted to take action.

Action has also been suspended at South Thames Colleges Group, which covers four further UCU branches, so that members can be consulted on a local deal.

Members at the three branches covered by Capital City College Group voted not to accept an inadequate offer over pay and other local issues, after taking ten days of strike action; while the employer at Lambeth College is risking further action by members after refusing to shift from their imposed 1% pay award for 2020/21.
