General election special: UCU Live events today at 14:00 and 18:30

Today [Wednesday 19 June] at 14:00, I will take part in a live debate hosted by the CWU on the forthcoming general election.

The panel will consist of CWU general secretary Dave Ward, Mick Lynch of RMT, and myself. The event will also be shared on catch up and across our social media. We will cover major issues and take your questions.

Later today we also have a UCU Live event at 18:30. This will be hosted by Afua Hagan, where we will hear from guests including John McDonnell, most recently Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington, former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, as well as Alan Jones, award-winning industrial correspondent for over four decades.

We will reflect upon UCU's demands for the next government and what UCU members can do to continue to push for the radical reform of education that we all need. You can join the 18:30 UCU Live event through YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter/X.
