FE reps' survey: we want to hear from you!

UCU in FE has had one of the most successful years since the creation of the union. We have seen more campaigning, more members, more reps, more disputes, more ballots, and ultimately more wins for members in 2023. All of this could not have happened without you, our fantastic FE reps on the ground working tirelessly for your members. Whether you were part of the nationally coordinated Respect FE campaign or were one of the branches that ran your own campaign, we've designed a short survey for you to reflect on what worked and what can be improved, and we would really like to hear from you about your experiences. Some of you will have been running campaigns and disputes for a while and for other this would have been a new experience.

The survey covers the key elements of the union's campaign work this year and has questions about that, and the likely next steps in 2024. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete, and you have opportunities to make comments and suggestions. The timing of the survey fits with the next meeting of the further education committee on 27 January 2024 in that a report and analysis from the survey can be taken to FEC to inform its decision making. As you will be aware the FEC is going to make several important decisions, one of them being when UCU moves to an aggregate national ballot in FE.

The survey will be open until Monday 15 January 2024.
