Job evaluation for FE: A collective approach, 11, February, 2025, UK wide course, in person, venue tbc

This one day course is for branch reps and activists who are involved and interested in learning more about the importance of trade union involvement and representation in job evaluation schemes. The focus of the course will be around the use of collective action wherever possible.

Course meeting dates: 18, April, 2024 

Please ensure you can attend the entire course prior to submitting your application  form. Please further ensure you have secured time off from your employer to attend.
Course meeting times:

9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Course time commitment:8 - 10 hours approx. including some pre-course work

Course content

The course will cover the following:

  • The purpose of Job evaluation 
  • Equality aspects of job evaluation
  • Job evaluation process and policy
  • How to get more involved with the job evaluation process
  • Collective action and organising around job evaluation
UCU courses are funded via members' contributions and public funding.

Members of your regional team will be attending this course and will be assisting the course tutor with local knowledge.
