Westminster Hall debate: Welsh prisons

Liz Saville Roberts MP, chair of the Joint Unions Parliamentary Group (JUPG) which UCU is a part of, led a Westminster Hall debate on 29 November 2023, regarding prisons in Wales, which may be of interest to prison education members in both Wales and England due to some of the points made.

In the debate, Liz Saville Roberts MP referred to the JUPG and also to the staff recruitment and retention issues in prisons, which compromises prisoners' rehabilitation, including their education. Click here to hear the debate.
