UCU Scotland statement on the passing of Dr Andrew Samuel

We are all devastated to hear the news about Dr Andy Samuel.
Andy was a committed trade unionist and a well respected educationalist. His commitment to social justice and support for his students underpinned all he did.
As branch president at Abertay UCU Andy made a tremendous contribution to the university and his local community. Our thoughts are with Andy's family and friends at this sad time.
