UCU supports appeal in memory of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh

In memory of the awful killing of heroic Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, UCU is donating to the Truth to Power Appeal.
On 11 May 2022, Shireen was shot dead while reporting on an Israeli military incursion into Jenin refugee camp. To honour Shireen's legacy and defend the voice of Palestinians under attack, Fobzu, a UK-based charity which UCU has worked closely with for many years has established the Truth to Power Appeal to support scholarship for students in financial need to study media and journalism at Birzeit University.
