UCU statement on Ukraine

UCU has sent steadfast solidarity to all those affected by the devastating events in Ukraine. Our union has made a donation to UNICEF's emergency appeal and is demanding governments ensure all people are able to reach a place of safety

In a statement of solidarity, UCU general secretary Jo Grady said: 'The situation in Ukraine is devastating to witness and on behalf of the University and College Union I am sending best wishes and solidarity to all those affected.
