Live online event, 5:00pm TODAY and release of Four Fights ballot results

As of 12pm yesterday (Thursday) the ballots for industrial action in the USS and Four Fights disputes were closed. The USS ballot results were published yesterday and you can read my email to members about them here.

The Four Fights ballot results will be published later this afternoon.

I expect to be able to announce a summary of the results, live at 5:00pm today in an online event.

You will not hear the results for your branch but you will hear about the overall turnout, how many branches have crossed the threshold, and what happens next.

The branch-by-branch results will be put on our website as soon as possible this afternoon and emailed to members, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

Trade union law places UCU under extremely strict obligations to report results to employers and to members as soon as reasonably practicable after we receive them from Civica, which we will do.

We gave ourselves a very good platform to start from with yesterday's USS ballot results and I know that tens of thousands of UCU members will be hoping for similarly strong results in the Four Fights ballot.
