Valuation Discussion Forum

UCU representatives worked with UUK representatives to jointly produce questions about the USS pension scheme 2017 valuation. This work has resulted in a technical report and a cover letter that highlights the technical issues around valuation assumptions. These assumptions are still yet to be determined and will be finalised over next few months

UCU general secretary Sally Hunt said, 'This is not changing UCU policy and should complement the ongoing work UCU negotiators are doing in pursuing the unions objectives in the 2017 valuation. I would like to thank the UCU representatives who were involved in the discussion forum for their work.  This should help pursue the aims of UCU in the ongoing valuation discussions.'
