Join a timely & critical dialogue! Remagining further education conference: transformative learning 21.06.17

On 21st June 2017, Birmingham City University’s Centre for the Study of Practice and Culture in Education (CSPACE) will host its second one-day Reimagining Further Education Conference at its City Centre Campus (Curzon Building), located in the centre of Birmingham.

The conference theme recognises the power of transformational education to empower  teachers, learners and their diverse communities. The conference offers a critical space where those who work, learn and set policy in further education need to have a dialogue which opens up possibilities. We welcome you to experience a day of stimulating discussion where your voice can be heard in a dynamic space with others from across the sector and country.

After a fantastic event last year, this summer, the theme is transformative education. The conference – sponsored by UCU – will bring together learners, teachers, researchers and key figures in the field of further education and will cover a range of themes from Adult and Offender Learning to Literacy, Teacher Learning and alternative education in FE.

There will also be an opportunity for people to submit a paper for a special issue peer reviewed journal on transformation and education.

Tickets are available at a cost of £60 (early Bird = £50), which includes entry to the full programme, a conference pack, lunch and refreshments.
