Pay scales transition

Following the conclusion of national talks in April 2004 over the revision of the pay scales and introduction of a new single national pay spine,  institutions across the UK implemented the new arrangements.

The historic pre-1992, post-1992 and HE2000 scales below are retained for information only.

HE2000 salary scales

The scales detailed below as being effective from 1 August 2004, through to pay increases agreed to May 2008, assume the transition to new grading structures has not yet been agreed and implemented.
